But I wanted to write this post to not only properly set expectations of what the team expected from their new colleagues but also to give you the top 3 reasons you should want to come join the product management team at Armor.
First, a big expectation for these individuals that the team wanted me to communicate was around the nature of the role and who we were looking for to fill it. As you can see by the job title in the listing, we are looking for a PRODUCT MANAGER. So all you rockstars, ninjas, gurus, and superheroes need not apply. However, we certainly hope we can be friends because those are all cool jobs that we want to be when we grow up. But our team is looking for people that live and breath dreaming up, designing, building, and delivering beautiful, simple, and value-creating products to market. We want you to be someone who knows how to go deep into a market, understand its intricacies, and gain empathy for the buyers and users in that market so you can craft product that addresses the problems of those buyers and achieve and scale in areas of product-market fit. We want you to work collaboratively with the rest of the product delivery organization, feeding stories and product design to development teams and working with product marketing, sales, and operations during the PLC to bring products to market. And ultimately, we want you to be knowledgeable in your product areas of cloud, security, SaaS, etc. The team has told me they will not compromise on wanting to work with true product manager instead of rockstars; they're just a little too loud and messy!
Now we wanted to lay out 3 reasons why you should come join the product management team at Armor.

There are a lot of things we could write about to convince you the culture is awesome. It could be the obvious awards such as Dallas Morning News naming Armor a Top 100 place to work in Dallas this year. Or we could talk about the work from home stipend that Armor gave its employees at the beginning of the pandemic to make working at home more comfortable. We could also mention the fact that Armor sent every employee a pie for Thanksgiving as a small token of its appreciation. Because building companies is HARD. Work is not always enjoyable or easy nor should we expect it to be. Cloud security is THE field to be in. Once again there are many reasons why cloud security is a field anyone would want to grow their career in. "Cloud Security Market was valued at USD 6.76 billion in 2019 and is projected to reach USD 37.69 billion by 2027, growing at a CAGR of 25.86% from 2020 to 2027." So there is a lot of money to be made and the industry has the highest growth rate of any job area over the last 10 years at 37%. You will NEVER stop learning as you are constantly trying to keep pace with the new innovations coming out to keep pace with digital transformation companies are undergoing. Armor supports its employees pursuits of certifications that further their career and help them stay sharp in their fields and many of our product managers have taken advantage of that fact to pursue cloud security or product management specializations and certifications.
